Copied from AppleKiss/Ylva from Something Blue. Cause I agree with these rules.
There won't be many, but they will be important, so listen up!
There won't be many, but they will be important, so listen up!
#1 Be kind.
If I detect bullying, I will talk to you privately, but I won't give you a second warning before I kill your character and ban you from the roleplay. This is a fun-zone. Roleplaying is a game, it is not to be taken too seriously or to be ruined by negativity. This I am very strict with, so do not test me.
#2 Setting.
The roleplay is set in modern times USA. Not because I think everything interesting has to happen in USA, but because it's a place that everyone knows approximately what is like. In addition, it's a melting pot of races and cultures, and they speak English, so all our characters would make sense in such a place.
#3 Character selection.
Each roleplayer can only have one character at a time. This is so people on the waiting list won't have to wait forever for a spot. This one character has to be non/Disney (2D or CGI) and above the age of 18. We might be pervs but we want you to be legal!
#4 Character profile.
You are required to make a character profile before you start roleplaying. If you begin roleplaying before your character profile is complete, you will be given a warning, and if you continue to do so, you might be kicked out of the roleplay. Character profiles help everyone else to roleplay with, and better understand your character, and it is important that everyone has one!
#5 Write in third person past.
99% of you will do this already, but in every roleplay someone tries to write in first person present. In the past I have ignored this and let people write however they like, but it does create a discontinuity in the threads and makes them unpleasant to read for anyone browsing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with first person present, but the majority goes with third person past, so let's just be mainstream for once.
#6 Be realistic.
This roleplay is set in the real world, and I won't allow magic or mermaids or the like. What's more is: Play realistically. Your character can't be the best in the world at everything, nor can he/she know everything when there is no reason they would know that information. Only Alistar is allowed magic cause he is a alchemist. That brings us to the next rule:
#7 No god modding.
I shouldn't even have to explain this one. Just no. That includes basically forcing a permission by bothering the roleplayer. Ask nicely and accept no's. You wouldn't like it if someone else tried to control your character.
#8 What happens in the RP STAYS in the RP.
No reason to bring drama into the real world. Distinguish the character from the player. You make drama in real life, I kill your character. End of.
#9 Accept death.
Woah, that sounded dark. What I mean is, this is a roleplay where your character can be killed off. Sometimes it will be because of inactivity or because a person leaves the roleplay. Other times it will be completely random and out of even my control. There is a chance your character might die. You knew this from the start, there is no reason to get mad about it later. If this does happen, you are welcome to reserve a new spot on the waiting list with a new character. When your character dies you are allowed one final post, but remember to keep it realistic and neutral. No angels, no dead grandmother reuniting, nothing like that. Otherwise, write to your heart's content!
